Whitewater Escape Package – 7 days per week all year round

Experience one of the UK’s most exciting whitewater rafting adventures on the famous River Dee, combined with an overnight stay at The Hand Hotel in the heart of Llangollen.

Set amongst the stunning scenery of North Wales, this thrilling 2.5-hour guided rafting experience takes you along a natural river route with rapids ranging from Grade 2–4, making it perfect for both first-time rafters and adventure seekers alike.

After being fully equipped and transported to the picturesque Horseshoe Falls, guests will receive a full safety briefing from qualified instructors before taking on iconic rapids including Serpents Tail, Tombstones and Town Falls.

Session times:

  • 09:30 AM, 10:15 AM, 01:30 PM and 02:15 PM
  • Additional 04:30 PM time slot (Saturday & Sunday only, April – September)

Price:

  • Sole Occupancy: £170
  • Double Occupancy: £265 per couple
  • Triple Occupancy: £120 per person based on 3 people sharing

Booking Information

  • All activity packages are subject to availability with Whitewater Escape at the time of booking.
  • To ensure availability, package bookings must be made at least 28 days (4 weeks) prior to arrival.
  • Package reservations are not confirmed until both accommodation and activity availability have been verified by The Hand Hotel and confirmed with the guest.
  • We strongly recommend booking early, particularly during weekends, school holidays and peak season.
