Aqueduct Adventure Escape – 7 days per week all year round

Experience the breathtaking Pontcysyllte Aqueduct from the water with this unforgettable guided canoe adventure, combined with an overnight stay at The Hand Hotel in the heart of Llangollen.

This 2.5-hour experience takes you along stunning sections of the Shropshire Union Canal before crossing the famous UNESCO World Heritage aqueduct, standing 126ft above the River Dee.

Led by qualified instructors, the session includes:

  • Guided open canoe experience
  • Safety briefing and equipment provided
  • Transport to the activity start point
  • Fun and informative commentary about the aqueduct and surrounding area

Guests will meet at the activity centre in Llangollen before heading out onto the canal in pairs to enjoy one of North Wales’ most iconic experiences from a completely unique perspective.

Booking Information

  • All activity packages are subject to availability with Aqueduct Adventure Escape at the time of booking.
  • To ensure availability, package bookings must be made at least 28 days (4 weeks) prior to arrival.
  • Package reservations are not confirmed until both accommodation and activity availability have been verified by The Hand Hotel and confirmed with the guest.
  • We strongly recommend booking early, particularly during weekends, school holidays and peak season.
